Gregory Ouillon

about me

Hi, my name is Greg. I am French and I live in Geneva, Switzerland.

As an executive in high-tech and aviation, travel has always been part of my life. Travel has allowed me to discover lands, cities, cultures, people, history and above all nature and wildlife around the world. I have been blessed to visit many landmarks, to walk amazing trails and revere the beauty of nature in stunning places.

With travel came photography, initially in order to capture memories, and then much more. When I frame a picture in my viewfinder, it creates a unique bond with my subject and I am then truly in the moment, entirely focused and mindful. I spend soothing and priceless hours waiting for a lion to show at sunrise, spotting birds in the wild or guessing where the whale will come out of water next.

about this site

I created this site after a gentle push by one of my two sons. It allows me to share my passion for photography with family, friends and others. It also allows me to learn and experiment with the many options and choices you have in selecting photos, their development and their presentation. It is challenging and personal, and it will keep evolving. I hope you enjoy some of these pictures.

about my camera gear

My first film camera was an Olympus, for my first trip to Indonesia. My first digital camera was a Finepix 6800, great for kids and family. I bought my first reflex in 2004, a Nikon D70, for our first travel to Japan. Today, I travel with a Nikon D810 full-frame.
